Godbe Drilling, LLC is a Colorado-based family-owned diamond core drilling and mineral exploration business qualified to operate in the United States and Mexico. The company maintains licenses issued by the Arizona Registrar of Contractors and the Arizona Department of Water Resources. Additionally, Godbe Drilling holds business and professional contracting licenses required for its operations in the Western United States.
No matter where your site is located, Godbe Drilling has the right equipment. The company specializes in surface, underground, and helicopter-supported exploratory diamond core drilling. The company operates a total of ten (10) different core drills along with other specialized equipment necessary to drill and extract cores in remote locations. Additionally, Godbe Drilling has one of the best safety programs in the industry.

John D. Godbe, Owner/Manager
John Godbe began his career in the drilling industry as a Driller’s Helper. He worked his way up to eventually manage one of the largest drilling companies in the United States. John remained in a management role for 22 years before purchasing the company himself and running the entire business for an additional decade. Eventually, John sold the company and stayed on as the Marketing Manager during the buyout period.
After numerous clients from past drilling programs persuaded him to re-enter the drilling business, John Godbe launched Godbe Drilling in 1994.
Today, John continues to serve as the owner and operator of Godbe Drilling. He has over 40 years of management experience in the drilling industry and holds a degree from the University of Wyoming.
Jonathan D. Godbe, Manager
Jonathan Godbe started in the drilling industry as a Roust-a-bout when he was just 16 years old. He also worked in the field as a Driller’s Helper before he was hired as an inside drilling sales representative with one of the largest drilling supply companies in the industry. He spent the next five years working his way up to become one of the top-producing Outside Drilling Sales Representatives. In this role, he was responsible for managing all sales in the 13-state Northeast territory. Jonathan joined the Godbe Drilling team in 2003, bringing his extensive experience in marketing and advertising along with him. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico.
Jeffrey D. Godbe, Safety Coordinator
Jeff Godbe began his career in the drilling industry at the age of 16, working as a Roust-a-bout. He later worked in the field as a Driller’s Helper before he was hired as a Contracts Representative for one of the largest drilling companies in the industry. He worked his way into multiple roles during his tenure there, including serving as an Inside Drilling Sales Representative and an Outside Drilling Sales Representative for the Central Territory. Jeff has worked for Godbe Drilling, LLC since 2002.

By remaining a family-owned and operated business, the Godbes have been able to mold their employees to be industry experts.
